EVERYONE
IN IOWA
DESERVES
TO FEEL SAFE.

WE BELIEVE
SEXUAL & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARE PREVENTABLE.

Violence Free Iowa leads and supports a statewide coalition of 25 victim service provider organizations advancing sexual assault and domestic violence prevention efforts, crisis intervention, and long-term stability to ensure every Iowan has the opportunity to feel safe, heal, and thrive.

THE IMPACT OF VIOLENCE AFFECTS EVERYONE.

Feeling physically, mentally and emotionally safe are basic human needs that every person and child deserves. When anyone in our community experiences sexual assault or domestic violence, it affects the collective health of the entire population.

WE PROMOTE VIOLENCE-FREE LIVING FOR ALL IOWANS.

How we do it:

  • We provide training and assistance for 25 survivor support programs across the state.

  • We connect survivors and their dependents to family support services and resources.

  • We invite everyone to join our efforts to help educate and advocate for policy and community transformations for safer living in Iowa.
